The Gap Time

The gap time in PlayoutONE shows you if you are running over or under the time of the next marker, it is located in the top right of the log and is visible when you are live on air.

Ideally, you always want the gap time to be as close to 0:00 as possible, this means you will then hit the next marker on time.

This time will always update as PlayoutONE is playing through the log, there is also a smaller version of the gap time located on the bottom right of the Log window, this shows you the gap time for the current hour you are looking at, this is useful for checking the gap time of future hours.

Positive GapTime

If the gap time shows a white positive value, this is the time you are over the hour in minutes and seconds, you need to remove content from your hour

Negative GapTime

If the gap time shows a red negative value, this is the time you are under the hour in minutes and seconds, you need to add content to your hour, or talk for longer between items
