Securenet Systems provide an application called ' Cirrus' that sends metadata to the Securenet servers. PlayoutONE Monitor can be configured to send this data to Cirrus.
1. Paste the text below and send to Securenet Support via your Securenet support panel.
To use LiveStream for streaming and Cirrus for metadata
Hello Securenet Support,
We are a PlayoutONE customer and wish to use their LiveStream product to send our audio feed to Securenet.
Please can you configure our Securenet account for DCS only, configured for PlayoutONE format?
We have received instruction from PlayoutONE on how to configure the metadata but need this step to be implemented first.
Thank you
To use Cirrus for streaming and for metadata
Hello Securenet Support,
We are a PlayoutONE customer and wish to inform you that we need our Cirrus account to be configured for PlayoutONE Metadata.
We have received instruction from PlayoutONE on how to configure the metadata but need this step to be implemented first.
Thank you
2. Once Securenet informs you that your Cirrus encoder is configured for PlayoutONE, you will need to log in and out of the Cirrus application for the new configuration to take effect.
3. Go to PlayoutONE Monitor and open the Station Settings for the station you wish to configure Metadata for.
4. Go to the Metadata tab and click Securenet. Follow prompts to create a metadata output for Securenet.
5. Turn the Securenet output on, and make sure the folder that PlayoutONE Monitor is pointing to is C:\PYOExport.
If Monitor isn't running on the same PC as Cirrus then you'll need to create a C:\PYOExportfolder on the PC running Cirrus, Share It, and then point monitor to \\CIRRUSPCNAME\PYOExport.
6. Click Save
7. Within the Cirrus encoder, you can click the Metadata button to confirm the metadata is working.
8. If you requested Securenet configure Cirrus for just DCS (metadata only) so that you can take advantage of the extra features LiveStream has to offer, then you'll need to configure LiveStream with your Securenet encoder details. These can be found from within your Secuernet control panel.
